Since October 2023, the Middle East has experienced a turbulent period. Regional and international repercussions are significant, especially in the longer term with potential implications for different maritime areas. The Persian Gulf, the Red Sea and, to a lesser extent, the eastern Mediterranean may be exposed to direct or indirect threats from regional actors.
