The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the following terrible loss of life, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and massive number of refugees from the war is not something that the rest of the World can tolerate, writes Risk Intelligence CEO Hans Tino Hansen in this statement.

Hellerup, 16 March 2022

The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the following terrible loss of life, destruction of civilian infrastructure and massive number of refugees from the war is not something that the rest of the World can tolerate. We at Risk Intelligence are fully condemning the illegal invasion and are supporting the victims of the war in a number of ways.

Besides providing an updated intelligence picture of the war to our clients, Risk Intelligence has been engaged in assisting our clients, and even non-clients, by facilitating and coordinating the evacuation of ships’ crews from vessels which remained in Ukrainian ports in cooperation with a British response consultant firm. All crews we have been involved with have now been evacuated with the last ones coming out in the middle of last week. We took the decision to do this free of charge even if our staff was operating during evenings and weekends as the safety of the crew members was much more important than any revenue could ever be.

As part of our daily work of creating an updated intelligence picture to our clients, we have launched the Northern Black Sea Weekly Intelligence Report, which focuses on the maritime security situation in the Northern Black Sea and port operations in Ukraine, Russian and Romania. This report follows in line with the previous Ukraine ports and terminals report published from September 2014 to June 2016.

We have initially donated 25,000 DKK to the Red Cross, and furthermore, 20% of the revenue from the Northern Black Sea Weekly Intelligence Report during 2022 will be donated to aid for the victims of the war in Ukraine.

Hans Tino Hansen, CEO.
