WEBINAR SERIES:

Waves of change– navigating dynamic threats in maritime security

In this webinar series, our analysts will look at a broad range of maritime security threats that are likely to impact commercial shipping in 2024. From drone attacks to drug smuggling, from protest movements to piracy – operators of merchant vessels, port facilities and offshore infrastructure must consider more and more security-related aspects.

Looking back at statistics and individual incidents from 2023, we identify the most pressing maritime security issues for different regions around the world. Our analysts show how land-based conflicts and political dynamics can affect security threat levels for maritime operations on a local or regional level. The dynamic nature of security threats underlines the need for comprehensive and ongoing monitoring.

The series starts with two webinars which provide an overview of challenges to the maritime and the land side of global supply chains. The next four webinars will then provide a deep dive into challenges in four regions of particular concern: the Middle East, East Asia, the Black Sea and West Africa.
